Foundations: Breath is a day-long exploration of breath as a healing and transformative practice. Breath practices release tension, regulate the body, mind, and heart, and open us to the deepest levels of insight, presence, and wisdom. Conscious breath is the quickest way to decrease stress and to engage in a relaxation response. In your lifetime, you will take approximately 100 million breaths. In bringing our conscious awareness to this ongoing autonomic process, we integrate body, heart, and mind.

Conscious breathing is the quickest way to decrease stress and to engage the mind and body in a relaxation response. We will play with the different dimensions of the breath, from an optimal physiological breath, to a regulating breath, to an activating opening breath. In the next 24 hours, you will take 20,000 breaths. In your lifetime, you will take approximately 100 million breaths. We will consider the implications of bringing our awareness to this ongoing autonomic process within us that links our bodies, hearts, minds and spirits.
